The Crusaders Vets team lost their latest game at home to Pontarddulais on Thursday.
They lost the match by 39 shots to 31.
Mike Rees, Lyn Rees and Arfon Rees went down by 7 shots to 29 whilst Herbie Morgan, Allan Jones and Mel Davies won their rink by 24 shots to 10.
A new Rule has been introduced for this season by the League and County Association which now allows players to wear BLACK Trousers in mid week League and Tournament matches. There is also no requirement for players to wear the same colour trousers so teams can wear a mix of grey or black. No jeans will be allowed.
The Crusaders went down by 3 shots to current D.J.Jones Holders, Blue Anchor at Penclawdd on Monday night. The hosts won the match by 27 shots to 24.
Wyndham Gravelle’s rink of him as Skip and Steff Williams, Mike Rees and Lyn Rees won their game by 13 shots to 10.
The other rink comprising of Skip Clive Coles, David Lloyd, Allan Jones and David Noot suffered a six shot defeat of 11 shots to 17
The Crusaders played host to the Glasgow Hawthorn Tourists on Saturday at Llanelli Bowls Club and went down by a narrow margin of one shot with the Scottish side winning by 71 shots to 70.

The Crusaders got their 2019 season off with a bang with an outstanding winning performance away at Burry Port in the Carruthers Shield!
In a thrilling contest, The Crusaders won the day by a one shot margin,winning the tie by 75 shots to 74 !
Captain Mike “Spud” Rees and his experimental rink of brothers, Greg and Johnathan Davies plus Herbie Morgan had a super day winning by 15 shots against the experienced skip Gary Hire and his rink. Clive Coles accompanied by David Noot, Alan Jones and Chris Walters won their match by 7 shots, 24 -17 against a rink which included County player Don Boucher.
Eldon Phillips rink of David Lloyd,Mel Davies and Peter Harries got off to a good start and were all square at 8-8 when David Lloyd suffered a back spasm and had to retire with Club Secretary, Jeff Richards substituting! They eventually lost their match by 14 shots to 27.
Wyndham Gravelle’s rink of Alun Davies,Steff Williams and Lyn Rees battled hard and were level at the half way stage only to finally succumb by 13 shots to 21.
Final Score : Burry Port 74 Dafen Welfare Crusaders 75.
The Green at Dafen is open and all members can practice when they wish. The Official Club Practice night is on Wednesday’s.
