LEAGUE RULE CHANGE

That Rule 14 of the League Rules be replaced with:

14.1 Reporting the Result of Matches
The home side shall be responsible for:
•⁠ ⁠the completion of the Result Card, duly signed by a representative of both sides
•⁠ ⁠forwarding it to the League Secretary within 48 hours.
A Home Side representative must also inform the League Secretary of the result, as soon as possible after the match completion, by text message or electronic mail

14.2 The Result Card
The Result Card shall be completed by representatives of both sides immediately on completion of the game and shall contain the following legible information
•⁠ ⁠The initial and surname of each player on every rink
•⁠ ⁠An indication with the letter (L) of any Lady Players
•⁠ ⁠An indication with the letter (X) of any Loan Players
•⁠ ⁠The final scores, (after any deductions), and points awarded on each rink
•⁠ ⁠The total scores and points for each side.

A properly completed Result Card, duly signed by representatives of both sides, shall be the arbiter in any disputes.

14.3 Recording of Results
The League Secretary shall record the results received and shall compile League Tables. Only results received on Official Result Cards via personal delivery, post or photographic evidence using e-mail, WhatsApp, or other agreed systems, shall be included on the Official League Table.

14.4 Failure to Submit Result Cards
Where no result card is received within seven days of the match, the matter shall be investigated by the League Secretary, and, if not resolved within seven days of his investigation, it shall be dealt with by the League Management Committee who, upon receipt of the evidence available, may:
•⁠ ⁠Award up to a maximum of 14 points to the non-offending side
•⁠ ⁠Not award points to the offending side
•⁠ ⁠In addition to the above, impose a monetary penalty, to a maximum of £10, on an offending side, for a second or subsequent occasion in the same season.

REMINDER
Bill has arranged a meet & greet this coming Sunday at 5.30 pm , Stradey Arms restaurant area.
This will be a good opportunity for members old& new to introduce themselves for the new season.
Also those of you who have not yet collected your kit can please pick up then.

VETERANS LEAGUE RULES AMENDMENTS

VETS LEAGUE 2024
Rules amendments ;
1) In the event that a team cannot field a side of six male bowlers of an age Over 55, then they may select up to two female bowlers over 55 to replace them.

2) It is the responsibility of the Home team to ensure that the match result and sores are texted to Richard Johns by 5pm Friday latest.
Failure will result in the away team receiving the full six points irrespective of the actual result.

LEAGUE RULE CHANGE – ALTERATION TO LEAGUE RULES


The Meeting approved the proposal to alter League Rules (below) following the introduction of a second team by Llanelli Bowling Club
 1.⁠ ⁠That the following Rule 3
ALTERATION TO PLAYER LOAN SCHEME
The Meeting approved the proposed alteration to the Player Loan Scheme which excluded the right of any Club, with more than one side in the League structure, from loaning players between those sides but did not prevent them from using the Loan Scheme externally.
On the suggestion of David Phillips (GOR) the use of the word ‘Team’ within the Rules be replaced by the word ‘Side’ to reflect the correct usage as per the Laws of the Game. (Agreed)

Green Priority/Practice Days
At Chris’s request the Club practice day will change to Tuesdays
League matches will be played in the same direction towards TOWN as previously, whilst all other matches will be played towards The Trees to preserve the playing surface

Additional Post
A further post of Sponsorship Secretary has been created to help deal with attracting and liaising with sponsors and looking after the Club’s future kit and events requirements 

Kit Requirements
It was proposed that we should aim to improve our standard of dress on the green and look into providing bespoke bottoms/shorts and also consider purpose wet coats that keep out the rain.
The sponsorship secretary will be asked to pursue the above and liaise with The Chairman.
